Facebook is the largest social networking site today. But apparently, not all Facebook users know the ins and outs of the Internet world, especially the danger to be avoided. Rame recently that facebook users update their own status after they click a link (link).
One study, quoted by Time, on Wednesday (03/30/2011), concluded that most users of social networking was never suspicious of a link or post
that contain harmful content, some sort of virus or trojan.
Not only that. Studies conducted by the provider of security solutions BitDefender said that most users do not use security solutions to protect their personal accounts on the internet.
The average account is engaged by BitDefender in this study are known to have 137 friends in one network. Even 42 percent of the respondents claimed not to know a few friends.
68 percent of all participants claimed never to prevent or to remind your friends to the presence of a malicious link on Facebook. In fact, they tend to click the link, which will automatically deploy the threat.
"Total respondents involved in this study reached 2700 accounts. Approximately 93 percent of them claimed not to need a security solution for Facebook. Even they do not show signs of care for this solution," said Sabina Datcu, from BitDefender.
"It's clear. Now is the time to educate them to be careful in cyberspace," he added.
